How long have you worked in dentistry and what initially inspired you to pursue this career?

I have worked in dentistry for 7 years. Before I worked in dentistry I worked in hotel management customer focused roles. I have always loved helping people and solving problems. This is what inspired me to become a Dental Nurse as it is such a caring, supportive role we play in with helping patients.

When did you join the Crossbank Dental Care team?

May 2023.

How has your career developed during your time at Crossbank Dental Care?

Since starting at Crossbank Dental Care I have learnt a huge amount about implant dentistry. I have completed my radiography qualification and now take x-rays of patients on a daily basis. I have also completed sedation nurse training, allowing me to assist Clinicians as a sedation nurse.

What do you find most rewarding about your role?

I enjoy seeing anxious patients overcome their fear of visiting the Dentist by showing them compassion and offering reassurance. My favourite part is seeing firsthand how dental treatment can really change someones life.

Tell us one fun fact about yourself.

I worked on a chicken farm in Australia for 3 months.

If you had to swap jobs for one day in the practice, which job would you swap for and why?

I would swap jobs with Dr Neil Cooper as I would love to experience placing dental implants for the day!
